About CalorieSip
A calorie calculator built by someone who actually uses it
CalorieSip exists because guessing calories at Starbucks is surprisingly hard. This tool fixes that — with official data, exact figures, and no account required.

Why I built CalorieSip
I'm Ali Abdullah Khan, founder of CalorieSip and CTO of Analog Systems. I built this tool in 2024 because I couldn't find a calorie calculator that actually worked the way I order.
Most calorie tools show you the standard recipe. But nobody orders standard. I order a Grande Caramel Frappuccino with oat milk and one fewer pump of syrup. That combination doesn't exist on any menu board. Before CalorieSip, the only way to get an accurate number for it was to dig through Starbucks' official nutrition PDF — a 200-page spreadsheet that most people don't know exists.
My background is in technology and data systems. I'm used to building tools that turn messy data into something usable. That's exactly what this is: Starbucks' official nutrition data, structured so that anyone can get their exact calorie count in ten seconds.
I cross-check every figure against official Starbucks publications every quarter. When the menu changes, I update the database. The data you're getting here is the same data Starbucks uses on their app — just presented in a way that's actually usable for your specific order.
Mission
Accurate nutrition data should be easy to access
Starbucks publishes their nutrition data. It's public. But it's locked inside PDFs and formatted for regulatory compliance, not for someone standing at the counter trying to make a quick decision.
CalorieSip's mission is simple: take that official data and make it instantly accessible for any drink, in any size, with any milk. No login, no paywall, no upsell.
We update the database whenever Starbucks publishes new nutrition information. Seasonal items go in within 48 hours of the official launch.

How it works
What happens when you use the calculator
The whole tool runs in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server. Nothing is stored about you.
Data is loaded at page render
When the page loads, the full drink database is embedded in the page HTML as JSON. There are no API calls, no loading spinners, and no delay when you make a selection.
Calculations run in your browser
When you choose a drink, size, and milk, the calorie lookup happens entirely in JavaScript on your device. Your selections are never transmitted to our server.
Results are based on official data
Every calorie figure is pulled directly from Starbucks published nutrition data, matched by drink name, size, and milk type. Not estimated — looked up.
Our principles
What we believe in
Accuracy first
Every number comes from an official source. We never estimate or round up.
Privacy by design
The calculator runs entirely in your browser. We never know what you searched for.
Free forever
This tool is free. No account, no trial, no premium tier. That will not change.
Regularly updated
When Starbucks updates their menu, we update the database. Usually within 48 hours.
